Our employment department offers a full range of employment and industrial relations services to our clients, including advisory and litigation work.

We advise clients on retrenchment and redundancy, closure and change of ownership of businesses, assisting clients in the implementation of internal disciplinary proceedings involving the preparation of charges of misconduct and poor performance and the conduct of domenstic inquiries.  We also advise on the drafting of terms and conditions of employment in respect of both individual contracts and collective agreements. 

The litigation practice work also includes representing clients in courts under the Industrial Relations Act 1967 which include trade disputes, constructive dismissal and unlawful termination.  We also undertake applications for judicial review, including certiorari or mandamus, review of Industrial Court awards and legal challenges to the Minister's reference under section 20 of the Industrial Relations Act 1967.
